Western Energy Markets Regional Issues Forum: Sector Liaison Search

The Western Energy Markets (WEM) Regional Issues Forum (RIF) is a forum organized by 12 sector liaisons, providing a venue for stakeholders to discuss and share opinions on issues regarding the Western Energy Imbalance Market (WEIM), the Extended Day-Ahead Market (EDAM), and related topics. RIF sector liaison, Vijay Satyal, whose term is scheduled to expire on Aug. 30, 2025, has expressed interest in resigning from his role as Public Interest and Consumer Advocates sector liaison. Each sector of the forum is tasked with selecting liaisons whose roles are to organize and facilitate input and participation from their respective sectors on topics and content of the forums.

The RIF Operating Guidelines provide that the ISO will issue a public notice of open sector liaison positions, establishing a time and date for a sector call not sooner than 21 days from the notice and requesting that interested candidates submit a statement of interest to the ISO within 20 days.

A Public Interest and Consumer Advocates sector meeting will be held on July 28, 2025. Details on how to join the meeting will be available on the WEM calendar before the meeting. Statements of interest are due no later than 5 p.m. Pacific Time on July 21, 2025. Qualified candidates should submit applications to Sienna Levine at slevine@caiso.com (cc Holly Taylor at htaylor@caiso.com)

Information on the RIF, including a current list of RIF sector liaisons, is available on the RIF webpage on the WEM website.
