Markets Governance and committeesWestern Energy Markets Regional Issues Forum: Sector Liaisons Search statement of interest deadline on 8/3/26
The Western Energy Markets (WEM) Regional Issues Forum (RIF) is a forum organized by 12 sector liaisons, providing a venue for stakeholders to discuss and share opinions on issues regarding the Western Energy Imbalance Market (WEIM), the Extended Day-Ahead Market (EDAM), and related topics. Each sector of the forum is tasked with selecting liaisons whose roles are to organize and facilitate input and participation from their respective sectors on topics and content of the forums.
The RIF Operating Guidelines provide that the California ISO will issue a public notice of open sector liaison positions, establishing a time and date for a sector call not sooner than 21 days from the notice and requesting that interested candidates submit a statement of interest to the ISO within 20 days.
A WEIM Entities sector meeting will be held on Aug. 5, 2026, at 1 p.m. Pacific Time. Meeting participation details will be available for sector members on the WEM calendar before the meeting. Statements of interest are due no later than 5 p.m. Pacific Time on Aug. 3, 2026. Qualified candidates should submit letters of interest to Michelle Madsen at mmadsen@caiso.com.
Information on the RIF, including a current list of RIF sector liaisons, is available on the RIF webpage on the WEM website.
Please contact Michelle Madsen at mmadsen@caiso.com with any questions.
