Interconnection Process Enhancements: Draft tariff language posting, comments due 9/28/26, meeting on 9/30/26

The California ISO will post the draft tariff language for outstanding items related to several interconnection stakeholder initiatives by end of day Sep. 15, 2026, on the Interconnection process enhancements 5.0 initiative webpage, and will host a public stakeholder meeting to discuss the proposed revisions on Sep. 30, 2026. 

The draft tariff language changes cover outstanding items from the Interconnection Process Enhancements 2023 and 5.0 initiatives, and the Interconnection service capacity and deliverability retention for non-operating generating facilities initiative. This document contains draft tariff revisions related to deliverability allocation practices, including opportunities for operational energy-only projects to seek transmission plan deliverability and related process updates, the ISO as an affected system, and interconnection service capacity and deliverability retention for non-operating generating facilities. The draft tariff revisions are available on the Initiative webpage.

Please submit written comments on the draft tariff language by end of day Sep. 28, 2026, by emailing your tracked edits to the draft tariff language word document to isostakeholderaffairs@caiso.com.
