Interconnection Service Capacity and Deliverability Retention for Non-Operating Generating Facilities: Issue paper and straw proposal posted, call on 4/6/26

The California ISO has posted the issue paper and straw proposal for the Interconnection Service Capacity and Deliverability Retention for Non-Operating Generating Facilities to the initiative webpage, and will host a virtual stakeholder meeting on April 6, 2026, to discuss this proposal. This initiative seeks to codify a generating facility’s rights and obligations to retain deliverability and interconnection service capacity rights after an indefinite outage or ceasing operations.

Meeting materials will be available prior to the meeting on the Interconnection Service Capacity and Deliverability Retention for Non-Operating Generating Facilities initiative webpage. Please provide written comments on the straw proposal and April 6 meeting by end of day April 20, 2026, through the ISO’s commenting tool using the link on the initiative page.
