ISO Planning Standards Update: Draft final proposal posted, meeting on 9/17/26

The California ISO (ISO) has posted the draft final proposal for the 2026 ISO Planning Standards Update on the 2026 ISO Planning Standards Update process webpage, and will host a virtual stakeholder meeting on Sep. 17, 2026, to discuss this proposal.

The 2026 ISO Planning Standards Update stakeholder process is reviewing potential updates to the ISO Planning Standards. Following discussion of the issue paper at the July 27, 2026, stakeholder meeting and consideration of stakeholder feedback, the ISO has developed this draft final proposal.

The presentation will be available prior to the Sep. 17, 2026, meeting on the 2026 ISO Planning Standards Update process webpage.  

The meeting will be recorded, and the video will be posted following the meeting. The recording is provided for informational and convenience purposes only, and any related transcriptions may not be reprinted without the ISO’s permission.

Please submit written comments on the draft final proposal and Sep. 17, 2026, meeting discussion by end of day Oct. 1, 2026, through the ISO’s commenting tool using the link on the process webpage.
