Notification of revised ISO operating procedure 2720 and Issued new 2720A and 2720B

The California ISO has revised and issued the operating procedures referenced below. 

2720 Market Disruption – Western Energy Imbalance Market (WEIM), version 5.0, effective Jan. 15, 2026. 

Complete rewrite to simplify the steps for Isolation, Separation and Suspension during Market Disruptions as well as creating Appendices 2720A and 2720B for communications and settlements expectations and updated procedure title. Removed history prior to five years.

2720A Market Disruption Communications, version 1.0, effective Jan. 15, 2026. 

New procedure Appendix/Attachment issued. 

2720B Market Disruption Settlements Notification, version 1.0, effective Jan. 15, 2026. 

New procedure Appendix/Attachment issued.
