Price Formation Enhancements: Straw proposal posted, calls on 9/3/25 and 9/4/25, comments due 9/19/25

The California ISO has posted the straw proposal for the Price Formation Enhancements (PFE) to the initiative webpage and will hold two stakeholder sessions on Sept. 3 and Sept. 4, 2025.

Day 1: Sept 3 - Discussion BAA-level Market power mitigation proposals

Day 2: Sept 4 - Discussion on Scarcity pricing proposals

The objective of these meetings is to review all of the elements included in the straw proposal and seek stakeholder input.

We request that written comments regarding the straw proposal be submitted through the ISO’s commenting tool using the link on the PFE initiative webpage. Please submit written comments by end of day on Sept. 19, 2025.

The ISO appreciates your engagement in the PFE meetings and looks forward to your comments on this topic.
