WEIM Modeling and Resource Registration Forum on 10/7/25

The California ISO will host a hybrid Western Energy Imbalance Market (WEIM) Modeling and Resource Registration Forum on Oct. 7, 2025. We aim to bolster collaboration with our stakeholder community and improve awareness regarding WEIM processes and expectations. If you plan to attend in person, please register by end of day Sept. 30, 2025.

The WEIM Resource Registration Forum is aimed at helping market participants navigate the process of registering resources in the Western Energy Imbalance Market. It offers practical guidance on onboarding procedures, data and modeling requirements, scheduling coordinator setup, and compliance with market rules. Presenters will also cover training for the WEIM Scheduling Coordinator Meter Entity (SCME) enhancement for Resource Interconnection Management System (RIMS). Additionally, we will discuss the challenges Reliability Coordinators, market operators, and stakeholders are encountering and offer solutions. 

The ISO is looking forward to the collaboration and discussion during the event. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and connect with experts to ensure their resources are ready for market operations.
