Dynamic transfers support changes in net interchange between two Balancing Authority Areas (BAA) by automating intra-hour dispatch and real-time interchange schedule adjustments. Dynamic import service is described in the ISO Tariff. Participants need to meet the minimum 217-day implementation timeline for scheduling dynamic transfers of imports and exports in the California ISO BAA.
Before entering the ISO market, new participants must complete the resource implementation process. Contact Customer Service at (916) 608-7320 to schedule an introductory meeting to determine requirements and explore opportunities associated with participation as a dynamic transfer project.
