Greening the grid
The ISO is active in pioneering ways to use renewable power and smart grid technologies that meet state energy and environmental goals.

We opened an advanced grid technology lab and exhibit to educate the public and policymakers.
We like to lead by example, launching our own eco campaign that promotes our recycling program and the use of recycled materials. Energy efficient lighting and equipment can be found throughout our campuses, helping to reduce our carbon footprint. We realize that being green is smart business because it lowers our operating costs and saves the planet at the same time.
