The ISO, California Public Utilities Commission and California Energy Commission staff are jointly developing an energy storage roadmap. The roadmap will facilitate the advancement of energy storage in support of California's energy and environmental goals by identifying actions to address challenges and barriers identified by stakeholders.
As a part of the continuing effort to develop the roadmap, a web conference is scheduled on November 3 to discuss a draft matrix that maps proposed actions to potential storage configurations and use cases. The matrix illustrates how for each configuration or use case the proposed actions address challenges and barriers identified by stakeholders. The matrix will be part of the final storage roadmap that is targeted for publication by the end of 2014. The web conference will provide stakeholders an opportunity to comment, seek clarifications and provide additional input.
Information about the roadmap is available on the ISO website at http://www.caiso.com/informed/Pages/CleanGrid/EnergyStorageRoadmap.aspx. The draft matrix will be available on the morning of the call at the same web address.
The roadmap team invites stakeholders to communicate by sending an e-mail to EnergyStorage@caiso.com.
