Regional Integration: Transmission Access Charge Options Meeting 12/13/16




The California ISO has scheduled a stakeholder meeting at its headquarters in Folsom on December 13, 2016 to review the draft final proposal for the Transmission Access Charge (TAC) Options initiative.  Please RSVP by December 9 if planning to attend in person.  A web conference will also be available.  Submit comments on the proposal by December 30.

The ISO has scheduled a stakeholder meeting at its headquarters in Folsom, California on December 13 to review the draft final proposal for the TAC Options initiative. The proposal will be published by close of business December 5 on the ISO website at


The TAC Options initiative focuses on how to allocate costs associated with owning, operating and maintaining high voltage transmission facilities (i.e., facilities rated above 200 kV) placed under ISO operational control by participating transmission owners (PTOs), should the ISO expand its balancing authority area by integrating a new PTO with a load service territory. The draft final proposal will include clarifications to address stakeholder questions and comments received on previous proposals.

A presentation will be posted prior to the meeting on the initiative webpage linked above. Materials related to the TAC Options initiative are also available on this webpage.
