Transmission Access Charge Options: TEAM Overview at 2016-2017 Transmission Planning Process Meeting 11/16/16




The California ISO will be providing an overview of the Transmission Economic Assessment Methodology (TEAM) at its 2016-2017 Transmission Planning Process stakeholder meeting on November 16, 2016.  Stakeholders involved in the Transmission Access Charge (TAC) Options initiative are encouraged to participate.  Please RSVP by November 15 if planning to attend in person.



Main Text
The ISO will be providing an overview of the TEAM and their updated documentation at the 2016-2017 Transmission Planning Process stakeholder meeting on November 16, 2016.  The TAC Options initiative Second Revised Straw Proposal plans to use TEAM to estimate sub-regional economic benefits of certain categories of new transmission facilities rated 200 kV or above, and to determine economic benefits to the expanded balancing authority area as a whole.


Stakeholders engaged in the TAC Options initiative who wish to learn more about TEAM and how it is used in transmission planning today are encouraged to attend or listen in to this overview.


Other items that will be discussed at the meeting include the 2016-2017 planning process preliminary policy and economic assessments, status of reliability projects less than $50 million being considered for approval, and updates on special studies.
