Main Text

The ISO has scheduled a stakeholder working group meeting on August 11, 2016 to focus on two topics that were included in the May 20 revised straw proposal for the Transmission Access Charge Options (TAC Options) initiative: the region-wide wheeling access charge (WAC) and the default cost allocation provisions for new regional transmission projects as they apply to an expanded regional Balancing Authority Area. The proposal is available on the ISO website at http://www.caiso.com/Documents/RevisedStrawProposal-TransmissionAccessChargeOptions.pdf.

This meeting is the next step in developing the subsequent proposal for TAC Options. The ISO will not issue a new proposal prior to this meeting, but will post a presentation to guide the discussion by close of business August 9 on the initiative webpage at http://www.caiso.com/informed/Pages/StakeholderProcesses/TransmissionAccessChargeOptions.aspx.  Other materials related to this initiative are also available on this webpage.

Following the working group meeting and receipt of written comments, the ISO will determine next steps in the initiative. Stakeholders are encouraged to involve their subject matter experts in this working group to provide input on the two topics of focus.

Please submit comments on the meeting materials and discussion to initiativecomments@caiso.com by close of business by August 22.

If planning to attend the meeting in person, please RSVP by close of business August 9 at http://www.rsvpbook.com/ISOStakeholderMeeting2016.  A web conference will also be available.  Note: The registration process for attending meetings in person has changed. The new system allows us to better document stakeholder contact information.

Please note there will also be a stakeholder working group for the Regional Resource Adequacy initiative held the previous day, Wednesday, August 10 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (Pacific Time) at the same location.  More information on that stakeholder initiative and meeting is available at http://www.caiso.com/informed/Pages/StakeholderProcesses/RegionalResourceAdequacy.aspx.
